Boundary & Improvement Survey

  • A Boundary and Improvement Survey consists of locating, setting, and marking your property corners - in addition to showing any improvements on, and near, the property boundary. These improvements include any structures, fences, concrete, or other permanent features. A boundary and improvement survey will show any building setbacks and easements on the record plat, if applicable.

  • Boundary and Improvement Surveys are used for real estate closings, by contractors, architects, engineers, and more. Title companies will provide survey coverage (on the title insurance policy) upon receipt of a “B&I” Survey. In addition, most municipalities/counties will require a B&I Survey for permitting processes.
